not unlikely to go from ‘criminal’ to hero and respected by all.
MANDELA .One day a terrorist facing the death penalty,to president of South Africa.
MANNING .One day a traitor detained without trail,to a internationally hero, standing up for what he believes in.

I know this from experience after immigrating to Canada when George W. Bush was appointed President.

I have been called a “traitor” by one US Immigration Officer (US Preclearance in Calgary) and called “unpatriotic” by another (US Customs in Houston) for being a US citizen residing outside of the USA.

The “Patriot Act” is now used as an EXCUSE to violate the Rights of both citizens and non-citizens alike.

Bradley Manning is nothing more than a whistleblower. God Bless him for standing up against government corruption. But be assured that the US government, US Military establishment and the US Federal Court system will distort laws to justify their actions and protect their own.

We had no alternative except to prepare for direct action, whereby we would present our very bodies as a means of laying our case before the conscience of the local and the national community.” – MLK
