On April 24th, 2012, protesters gathered in front of the Department of Justice in Washington, DC with the common goal of sending a strong message to Eric Holder to end solitary confinement, to stop torture, and to free all political prisoners.

About 60 Kansas City supporters rallied on April 25th for Bradley. Local businesses welcomed supporters to place posters on window fronts, and banner and poster drops were placed throughout the city.

Another top ranking official in PFC Bradley Manning’s chain of command has declared him guilty well before his court martial has even begun, in another judicial step backward for a courageous whistle-blower who shouldn’t be on trial in the first place. General Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, spoke to the press last week in Hawaii. Asked for his thoughts on Bradley Manning, Dempsey said, “We’re a nation of laws. He did violate the law.”

February 22nd, 2012. Bradley Manning Support Network. Pfc. Bradley Manning, an alleged WikiLeaks whistle-blower, will be formally arraigned on the 23rd of February. While his presence in the courtroom will be brief, the arraignment sets in motion Manning’s court martial, which is currently expected to begin in May. With this in mind we are requesting that supporters write, email, and call their local representatives to express their outrage over the charges against, and the treatment of, Pfc. Bradley Manning.

Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta is the highest ranking civilian leader of the military, aside from President Obama in his role as Commander-In-Chief. As a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives, he worked for civil rights issues, and there is hope he will listen to our concerns about Bradley. He is also relatively new to the trial, and in a position of influence to allow United Nations requests for a special rapporteur on torture, Juan Mendez, to have access to confidentially meet with Pfc. Bradley Manning.
