Are you an Obama volunteer or donor? Can he do better?
Can Obama do better? We think he can, and we are asking Obama campaign volunteers and donors to pressure the president to fulfill his promises of increasing government transparency. Ask him to free the most important whistle-blower of our generation, Nobel Peace Prize nominee, Pfc. Bradley Manning.
“Government whistle-blowers are part of a healthy democracy and must be protected from reprisal,” noted Barack Obama while on the campaign trail in 2008. Pfc. Bradley Manning took great personal risk in an act of conscience where he revealed to the public significant crimes of war. Why, if deserving protection from reprisal, was Bradley Manning abused for eight months in solitary confinement? And why are prosecutors seeking to imprison Bradley Manning for life when marines who committed murder are being given exceptionally light sentences? It should not be a crime to expose war crimes. It should be a crime to hide them.
If you have been an Obama campaign volunteer or donor, and you feel he can do better, please share your campaign role and voice your frustration by signing our petition asking Obama to free Nobel Peace Prize nominee Bradley Manning.

Obama has been such a disappointment.
I donated 2400$ to his campaigns in 2008, and also did a small amount of canvassing. Due to the way he’s handled the Bradley Manning issue (among other things, such as signing the NDAA, appointing Monsanto execs to positions in government, failing to give straight answers to very reasonable petitions on whitehouse.gov), I don’t feel like he’s standing up for the ideals that he campaigned on. I know there are many good things this administration has done, but there are fundamental issues that are not being addressed. Just being better than the other guy isn’t enough to win my support, and I intend to spend my time and money this year supporting who I see as more deserving candidates in local races.

I have to agree. Some crazy mixed up stuff. Then again, Obama can’t do everything we would like to see done. I still think getting him in office is an accomplishment by itself! I think the obstacles Obama faces can be overwhelming. Also he wouldn’t be where he is if he wasn’t a “player in the game” I believe. Let’s apply the pressure!
I knocked on many doors for Obama, getting people out to vote. Offered rides for older folks that have a hard time getting around.
Unless something really CHANGES, I won’t be doing it again.

Obviously he’s pandering to the militarists who are embarrassed that BRad “outed them.” He needs to stand up for what is right and let that boy go home.
Mister Obama release Braldey Manning and put George Bush in jail please !
Dear President Obama
The US president should be the most principled man in the country. Please note that you are letting Bradley Manning do your job. Please support him.
I have been a faithful Obama supporter, but the lack of transparency and the imprisonment and possible torture of Bradley Manning is unacceptable. If we cannot trust you to act honorably in this matter, how can we trust you with anything? What else are you hiding?
He can, he should let all hackers go.. they’re just helping that asses to make their security better..
