Would y’all say there should be no secrecy laws whatsoever? Would y’all be comfortable with troop movements being disclosed in advance of the movement? If not, where do you draw the line between Manning and someone who discloses troop movements? Tell us, please, because otherwise it sounds like you want there to be no secrecy at all even when troops are in harm’s way.

Dear Sir,

The United States of America purports to have been founded on dissent, yet it can now not stomach any
dissent reagarding its highly dubious foreign policy
(the British are no better)and has to resort to ill-
treatment of the individual, in this case Bradley
Manning, for whom I have the highest regard. Had he
been showing this kind of resistance east of the River Elbe during the Cold War, he would have been hailed a hero by the West. Sadly, President Obama is
too much of a coward to criticise the American military when his chiefs of staff resort to such
shoddy methods. Let us suppose that Mr Manning were
black … Or am I being unfair?

How can we suppport Bradley?
