Amnesty International expressed its disappointment with today’s ruling, calling out the government on the charge of ‘aiding the enemy’. Judge Lind’s refusal to drop the charge is a ‘travesty of justice’, they said.

“The charge of ‘aiding the enemy’ is ludicrous. What’s surprising is that the prosecutors in this case, who have a duty to act in the interest of justice, have pushed a theory that making information available on the internet – whether through Wikileaks, in a personal blog posting, or on the website of The New York Times – can amount to ‘aiding the enemy’,” said Widney Brown, Senior Director of International Law and Policy at Amnesty International.

  1. YES “Aiding the enemy” is ludicrous!!! You know what else is ludicrous…..after 9-11 George W Bush asked a very good question….Why do they hate us? Then he gave us his mouth dropping, ludicrous answer: They hate us for our freedom!?! WHAT F****ING FREEDOM!!!Oh yeah….our freedom to launch an unprovoked attack on a sovereign country knowing that we can, AND we can get away with it along with a string of war crimes to follow!! Just one example is to murder unarmed civilians from one of our numerous state of the art war machines….the Apache helicopter (that we unashamedly named after just one of a people that we also slaughtered with impunity). We would not have the opportunity,if not for Bradley Manning, to witness that casual killing of a Reuters cameraman and others, then the people who came to rescue them accompanied by children….all because our guys in the air just could not resist pulling the trigger!! They could…and they knew (and still know)that they can get away with war crimes if you are American!! Also knowing that your government will blur the incident by focusing on the whistle blower and torture him as an example to others that might want to release evidence of what our country does in the privacy of its controlled media!!
The U. S. government is and has been “aiding the enemy” all over the globe by supporting ruthless, murderous dictators. We are creating enemies by our actions of murder, torture and innumerable acts of terror and disregard for human rights…..AND….WE ARE THE ENEMY OF THE VERY PRINCIPLE AND IDEALS THAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO STAND FOR!!

  2. Yes, you tell it. In the “reality” the US Armee is the “sponsor” of Al Kaida. There will the time come, when, professionell analytics will make this “proofed”. And we, the supporters of “Bradley Manning”, risk our whole lives, for the fight for “democracy”. And sametimes are the “very best” enemies of “Islamists”, what you can see in “Turkey” theese days. And they “Bradley Manning, Julian Assange, and all the others, have much more success, of fighting against the “islamistic totaliratism”, and all the friends in Arabia, Turkey, and anywhere else now, that not the US Army, stand for “democracy”, no theese people, which stand for “freedom”, real freedom, they bring “democracy” into this totalitarian countries. But the worst thing is, that theese democrats and human rights activists, are faughten by the “own gouvernement” which shows, the US Army, for real, is not for “democracy”. They are for “Islamists” like in Saudi Arabia, for totalitarina dictators, they ever have sponsored them, from Peron, to Pinochet, to Franco, over all existing dictators of the planet. I know this for 30 years, but the public society at last now registrate this. So this court is not “legal”, its the court, which supports the “islamists”.

  3. Everything is a crime. A nation past it’s prime. FooLish acts of war and Laws that make us hide. Insider threat and Automatic License Plate Readers get a sIuggish sigh as we are defeated and uninspired taking notice of the distractions whiIe the country steaIs our Iives. Say goodbye to your BiII of rights They do not appIy. So Iong America be safe and die the cowards death with nothing but what we deserve waiting in our wake.
