Bradley Mannings WeihnachtsgrüßeBradley Manning’s holiday statement

Bradley Manning

Bradley Manning“I greatly appreciate everyone’s support and well wishes during this time. I am also thankful for everything that has been done to aid in my defense. I ask that everyone takes the time to remember those who are separated from their loved ones at this time due to deployment and important missions. Specifically, I am thinking of those that I deployed with and have not seen for the last seven months, and of the staff here at the Quantico Confinement Facility who will be spending their Christmas without their family.” — Bradley Manning

  1. Dear Bradley,

I admire your courage and integrity. Please know that you have millions of supporters. I know your confinement must be terrible; please know that millions of people are protesting your conditions.

Try to stay strong and know that many of us are working hard to improve your conditions, thinking you many times a day, and are doing everything we can to help and support you.

If I could visit I would, but I am in NY and am disabled.

I am a whistleblower who was rewarded by the FBI for exposing medicaid fraud; there is no reason why you, a true patriot, should not also be rewarded and named a national hero.

As far as I’m concerned, that is what you are.

    Kindest regards,
    Denise A Romano, MA, EdM

  2. Despite the physical separation you must endure, you are not alone Bradley. There are literally hundreds of thousands of people who know who you are, where you are and what you have done for us all. Too bad you won’t get to read this for a while but I sent a postcard. I hope it will not be long before you get this too.

  3. Dear Bradley: I wish you a Merry Christmas and a whole lot of prayer that justice will come your way. There are a lot of US citizens who pray daily for you.
    God’s Blessings
    Kay

  4. Dear Bradley,
I have not heard of a braver or more Christian act than to defend those being treated unjustly, to step in and give your life so that they may be treated fairly. I just recently read your story and will spread it wherever I go.
I wish you peace and strength in the knowledge that so many stand with you in your imprisonment.
    Mary

  5. Appreciating your price for patriotism, I’m wishing you the very best possible at this trying time, and the very best eventual outcome; knowing that history will be kind and judge you an outstanding patriot. You will make this faltering country far better for having been served by you and your conscience. Thank you sincerely.

my very best wishes in the coming year & all of those to follow, R.D.Seifer, seattle

  6. I want to thank you for your service. It takes a lot of courage to stand up and do the right thing.

I also want you to know that you have millions of supporters around the world that are keeping a vigilant eye on your story. You should know that no matter what happens in the future YOU ARE A HERO and should be treated as such.

With that said I want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Fabulous New Year. ;-)

Let’s hope, in the new year, the powers that be are as courageous as you are and do the right thing and set you free.

  7. Merry Christmas PFC Manning.

God bless yourself, your family, and your fellow troops. Hang in there. God willing, justice will be served.

    Steve

  11. Dear Bradley:

You and your courage our the true spirit of our USA and whenever I get the chance to talk to military guys they all say how grateful they are for you and your efforts to tell the truth. No one wants a society that tortures good men like you. You are in the hearts and prayers of many great folks. When i heard that you were being drugged every day I hope you are able to get a really good detoxing regimen as soon as possible.

Have all the courage you’ve dreamed of and the dreams you believe in can come true for you and all of us soon.

    Hugs and tugs,
    Laura

  12. Bradley, many many of us are thinking of you and wish you the very best. I hope you are hanging in there. Would like to meet you someday. Be well. You inspire.
    All my best,

  13. Greetings Brave Soul. I know you’re facing a terrible time of incarceration and I wish you could be freed immediately. It’s not always easy to do “the right thing” but I believe that you did. Bless you. May you find some inner peace to carry you though this situation. A lot of people are thinking of you and spreading your story. You have a lot of spritual support right now.

  14. Dear Bradley,

Please know that I am thinking of you, and admire greatly your bravery and courage. Know that you have many supporters and advocate. Be well, brother. Stay strong.

    Vincent Masi

  15. Bradley,

As the comments here (and mine) show, a lot of people out here have great respect for the bravery you have shown. We are thinking about you and we won’t forget about you no matter what the news cycle decides to focus on. You are way younger than I, but I look up to you for having the courage to be true to your convictions. It is a rare quality. Stay strong.

  16. Dear Bradley,

I was so disturbed when I heard about the horrible treatment you’re being subjected to. This can’t continue. Even the worst circumstances come to an end. I’m in France, and your story is now becoming widely known. Please stay strong and confident. The truth is powerful, and the truth is on your side.

    With love and respect,
    Margaret Loyon

  17. Dear Bradly,
I’d like to give you, my best wishes, to you and your family in these difficult moments. Although I am not an US citizen, I know how to appreciate the value and the courage of an Authentic heroe, YOU.
The world really appreciate what you did for your country, I can assure you that.
And that effort and sacrifice of getting a clean government, just telling the truth, without stinky secrets is something people will never forget.
Clean politics is absent everywhere, and you fighted and continue fighting against a corrupt system based in a closed government of secrets and lies.
Freedom shouldn’t be so complex to understand for Washington’s people; it is just as simple as telling the truth and banning the word secret forever.
If they don’t understand that, WE, the people will make them to understad it.
The free world WON’T REST until you get outside there, and be free.
We will fight with human rights organizations, we will fight with the press, we will fight with the TV, we will fight in many areas, until you stop to be reclused and BE FREE AGAIN.
I can assure you are not alone. This Xmas, you are in the hearts and minds of many, many people in the world.
We will make the name Bradley Manning be heard in every corner of this world, and we won’t stop.
I never had a great appreciation of the military people or the military world. You changed my perception of this.
There are people with real courage, working for what they believe, that are able to do amazing sacrifices, even if a corrupt superior power says no.
Be strong. We, the people, are with you.
Please, accept a big hug, for you, and all your family.
You are in my prayers, and I know God is and always will be with you.
Today, is a day less for your freedom. Remember that.

  18. Dear Bradley,

I don’t know if you’ll ever read this or if it will make a difference, but you are a hero. I admire you so much since I heard the story. Don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise. Stay brave, we’re here for you.

    Kindest holiday regards,
    Ali

  19. Dear Bradley,

Please let us know more about how you are doing and how you are being treated. Is it possible for you to share your experiences with someone like a CodePink activist who could then share your story with us out here. We want to know the truth about how you are being treated.

We are with you and pray for your release!

Wooly Wishes from the Shepherd’s Dream Team in Montague, California

  20. Dear Bradley,

We are all so very proud, even envious, of you. You did the right thing. You have become a hero for millions of folks all over the world. We offer up prayers for you constantly, for your safety & good health. We salute you for your bravery, your humility, your goodness in general.

Everything will work out just fine.

    Merry Christmas!

    Thank you!

    William Myers

  21. Dear Bradley,
Nelson Mandela was jailed for revealing and opposing injustice. His imprisonment and mistreatment added to the moral authority of his position. By mistreating you, they are enhancing your stature, adding to the justification of your acts and revealing the lack of integrity of the government’s position.
Every day of mistreatment is one more straw added to the back of the arthritic camel that imprisons you.
A world that is only made safe by finely crafted lies is not worth supporting.
A world in which people say and do things they can be proud of, unafraid of external scrutiny, is what the actions of Wikileaks can lead to.

Clear thinking people the world over support you.
Your comments declare that you are on the road of integrity. Stay true to that path and the world will celebrate your eventual vindication.

  22. Way to keep it demure and decent, brother. I don’t know you, but you’ve made my year, along with the folks at Wikileaks. Most of my life I’ve felt that the powers that be will forever tread on their people’s backs. Thanks to you that hopelessness has dimmed and I have faith again that decent human beings will not permit themselves or their fellow man to be herded, silenced and killed without retribution.

At this time you are being victimized and singled out, but in the bigger sense of the word, you are not alone.

Stay strong. I truly hope you are freed soon.
    Much love,
    Nicolay

  23. The path of the heros is the one you’re already walking through. Thanks for your bravery!

    My best wishes from Venezuela.

  24. Most of the world’s greatest heroes, and many of America’s greatest patriots, were people who were vilified during their lifetime; despised for the very actions we now honor them for. You, unlike our disgraceful national media and politicians, understand the enormous corruption and brutality taking place in the name of America and it’s people. Unlike are ethically and morally devoid government, your actions are on the side of honor, virtue, and heroism. Hang in there!

  25. brad am from scotland an me and ma mates think so much of you stay strong mate and the truth will tell merry xmas and hopefully a free new year all the best mate

  26. I can appreciate how difficult being incarcerated must be for you. Please know this: you will never be abandoned by those who stand in solidarity with you. Peace.

  27. Keep strong!!!! You are political prisoner. Many of my friends support your courage and strength, from all the way South of Argentina in the Patagonia, to the East in Montevideo, Uruguay and to the West in Valparaiso, Concepcion, Chile and further North to Lima, Peru. We admire you!!! You are an example for many young adolescents and young adults in all of the Americas!!!! Thank you for giving us your gift of strength during these holidays. Sending you a warm hug,

    Gabriela

  28. Dear Bradley
I read a recent article quoting David House as to your conditions and your own well being.
There is a great truth in your suffering.
Your plight is proving that no government, not even one once held in such esteem as the United States, can be trusted when it comes to the human rights of its citizens.
There has been a lot of talk of Wikileaks endangering lives through their actions. And yet you appear to be suffering tremendous abuses in your own country at the behest of your own democratically elected government.
I am not a religious person and I cannot imagine myself in your situation. I will not offer trite advice. I believe time will honour you as it honours the truth.
Many people are thinking of you. I wish you well.
    Yours sincerely,
    Tony Aldridge

  29. The first American Hero of the century.

Noble and inspiring, your sacrifice is historic.

Stay brave, healthy and of good will.

So few, like yourself, have saved so many.

Keep Hope alive, in yourself, as you have for others.

    Tim

  30. Merry brightmas from Iceland, dear brother! You are an example of the bravery that individual human beings are capable of and I salute you!

The truth will win, stay strong!

  31. Hey Bradley,

Keep the faith. Justice will prevail, and the more average citizens know of your story, the sooner this will happen. We will keep the pressure up!

    -johann

  32. Dear Bradley,

You have not been forgotten, and you are in the thoughts and hearts of many. Dont let the arrogance of the world discourage you because its people like us and you that make this world a damn better place. We will continue to stand up for you and take the necessary action to get out of there. For the mean time, I leave you with one of my favorite quotes…

“When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it–always.” -Mahatma Gandhi

  33. Bradley,
    I live in Dayton, OH.
You are an American hero, more so than any of the faces we get to see on the news every day.
We are all supporting you and praying for your swift release and recognition of the good thing you have done, and the wrong you attempted to right.

    Keep fighting the good fight,
    Happy Christmas!
    Will Evans

  34. Dearest Bradley,

May PEACE fill your soul. May you have GOOD CHEER knowing how much your brave acts of conscience are affecting our world! Because of the Wikileaks revelations of 2010, the GREAT TURNING — from Empire to Earth Community — has REALLY BEGUN. Now, in this very new TRANSPARENT WORLD STAGE where we all know what is going on, the LINE has been drawn — everyone can be seen for what they are — for Life,Truth, Justice or for corruption, secrecy, criminilaity, and the disregard of life. Bradley: THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! I wear my “FREE BRADLEY MANNING” badge over my heart ALL the Time!! (I love you!) I’m here in Australia — awareness and support for you here is growing all the time. KEEP STRONG! We look forward to your Release Party!!!

    Bless You,
    Katharine Dawn

  35. hi bradley
Greetings from Tasmania Australia ! you are incredibly courageous, and know that you have many many supporters even here. Be strong. I hope that this will be the first and last Christmas you have to spend where you are.

Cheers and well wishes from Cyndia and Justin

  36. Thank you for making the truth known, Bradley! YOU ARE A HERO – a WORLD HERO, not a criminal. Only people like you can change the world!
Keep hope: you will be freed soon,
    Marisa and Charles

  37. I fled from the US one year ago because I couldn’t live in the lie of exceptionalism, entitlement, in the ignorance.
Now I can return, thanks to you.

  38. Dear Bradley,

I just want you to know that I’m thinking of you on this Christmas day. You should not be in prison. This is wrong. This is unjust. And this is morally reprehensible.

The fact that your in jail says more about how sick this society is, how corrupt the political and economic system is, than it could ever say about you as a person. If you are guilty for that which you are accused, you are a hero.

But whether you are guilty or innocent, there is no reason why you shouldn’t have had your day in court by now. That is wrong and violates the provisions in the constitution about speedy trials.

The day you are released, and it will happen one day, I will be sure to greet you outside the prison walls in a throng of other well-wishers. Be courageous, Mr. manning, in the knowledge that many of us hold you in high esteem, and the deepest sympathy for your unjust punishment. And know that this injustice can not last.

    All the best,

    Keith Kinion

  39. Words cannot express how I feel about the conditions you are subjected to every single day. It is a horror and outrage, you should be a free man. As far as I am concerned, you are the bravest most courageous person on this planet. At our dinner today, I will ask my family to send you peaceful thoughts, and hope someday we can meet.

  40. Bradley,

Many people, myself included, understand that you are a courageous example for all of us. Please know that you are not alone, even at times when it may seem that way. Millions are thinking of you and looking forward to the day you regain your freedom.

  41. Dear Bradley,
People are so ignorant and passive. You are paying the price for refusing to be. We will fight for you.
    Sincerely, Ellie McQuade

  42. Bradley,

I’m another person who is so grateful to you for your honesty, courage and wisdom. Like tens of thousands of others I am heartsick that you are being forced to suffer in exchange for your concern for the good of humanity. We are praying for your continued strength and rapid freedom. God bless you and thank you for all you do – Anne

  43. You are a brave and beautiful American son! Thank you! Whatever tests you must endure, I pray God gives you the strength. I firmly believe that you acted in good faith for the American people and all citizens of the world.

  49. Dear Bradley,
I am at a loss for words with how you’re being treated, Just know that more than a million hearts are with you. I ex-military and know that it takes tremendous courage to do what you did. I know that the military and our government “bullies” people in the system, take it from me 8yrs of dedicated service and was continuesly told to shut up when I knew something was wrong while in Iraq with what some of the leadership did over there. I will always be sadly silent. Due to war and being poorly treated in the military I have suffered PTSD. I think about ending it everyday, but the only thing that I latch onto is prayer and faith in God. It makes me hold onto some kind of hope. I do hope you will be with your family one day. Thank You for doing this. I will be praying for you now everyday until your back with your family. Sincerely from the heart, Eric

  50. Dear Bradley Manning

You are locked up in the physical world, but your heart and mind, as strong and eternal as the wind, will remain free forever. Bradley, please know that we are with you in spirit all over the world. From here in Australia, Bradley Manning, I want to say Thank You. Thank You for doing what the rest of us could only hope to do. Be calm and strong young man. All the love in the world is with you.

Already, the changes are starting to take effect. The truth has been set free. Because of your courage, and the decision you took.

    Faithfully Bradley

    Michaela Crompton

  51. As with the unfair imprisonment of Nelson Mandela; Truth is the armor of the soul. The truth will set you free. Invictus by William Ernest Henley. Only you Bradley, are the captain of your soul.

  52. Bradley – I have seen photos of you many times, particularly on Democracy Now. I have been struck by the purity of your young face – its radiance and energy. I can only imagine what you are enduring and I wish you all the inner strenghth there is to be able to hang onto mental and physical health. If you did ‘leak’ that video and other documents about the immoral actions of the U.S. government/military, you are an amazingly courageous and ethical person, who I believe, is trying to save any remaining shreds we may have left of ‘democracy’. My husband and I plan to make a donation to help with your legal defense. May you be surrounded by Light and Love, Fortitude and Truth. Many, many people support and applaud you.

  53. Dear Bradley Manning,

I am an academician in Ankara University, Faculty of Communication (Turkey). Your bravery is very important for all people around the world but my people owe you a greater thanks. Thanks darling and please be good.

    Gulseren Adakli

  54. Dear Bradley,

I hardly know what to say to you, I can’t possibly understand what you are going through. Tomorrow I will go about my day to day life, and you will have to face another day removed from yours.I hope that some of these messages give you strength, and that by adding another, this time from England, that I can make my own humble contribution. You showed great courage in following your convictions to tell the truth, and those very same people that keep you imprisoned would surely have no greater aspirations for their own children. Stay strong Bradley, good luck.

    Adam

  55. Hello Bradley, hang in there.
I am very sad at your treatment, and angry that our government feels free to do wrong by harming you and keeping you confined. Hopefully they will see their way to a shift and realize that imprisoning people and mistreating them for doing things they don’t agree with is useless. The truth will always come out no matter how many people you hurt.
Thank you for being a true soldier and really putting it on the line for america
land of the hopefully free one day.

  56. Bradley Manning, I wish you well in your present and I wish you the freedom we all deserve in 2011 onwards into the future.

Directly or indirectly you have been partly responsible for the gathering momentum of people worldwide who have been awakened to the plight of millions who have suffered and are suffering in many different ways at the hands of governments and shadow governments.

Globally and with great speed the population of EVERY nation are becoming Enlightened thanks to people like yourself, who are true humanitarians. X

  57. Very best to you this New Year, Bradley.
Encourage ALL sworn to protect the Constitution. To seriously considered five words of purpose found in its Preamble: “secure the Blessings of Liberty”!!
There’s an excellent possibility that most of us will meet our Creator in less than two years.
Sworn before God to protect this document (which never once mentions futile democracy). I intend to protect everyone who’s injured NO person or property. A requirement of all true constitutional “Crimes” (quoting ARTICLE III, Section 2, clause 3). Particularly against pigs in black masks!! With all my heart, soul, mind, strength and property.

That’s right, a 1969 California invention called “infractions”, is likely the greatest fraud (other than the IRS) intended to destroy the finest experiment in all world history. These sovereign united states of America!
PEACE TO ALL, Leviticus 19:18, “… love your neighbor as yourself…”

  58. Dearest Bradley, truly, in spirit, you have already attained justice; a status that is inspirational to others, and a beacon of hope whose light is inextinguishable! Yours is a sacrifice of suffering and loss, and I honour you.The sour taste in your mouth will be replaced with honey-the intruding light that robs you of rest and sleep will be dispelled by a true light, and the loneliness replaced with a deep feeling joy to be shared with all you meet.Do not allow yourself to feel abandoned, the reality is unnumbered souls join yours and are enriched by your brave spirit and action. Peace be with you Bradley- the road is rocky and dangerous, but please believe me, there is a chair waiting for you at the banquet of honour and you shall be elevated, and greeted with an everlasting peace secured by sacrifice and love. May your resolve and strength increase during this terrible time. Remember that everything changes, and all things come to pass. All will be well, bless you, with heartfelt regard.

  59. Dear Bradley,
I keep your picture by my bedside and speak to everyone I know about your plight. I have carried your picture to the main street of my town and will do it again. But what little it is that we do; we must find a way to free you. Thank you for what you did. How proud your family and friends must be, though there suffering, like yours, is so deep.

  60. Dear Bradley,

I admire your stance for the Truth and the cost is unbelievable. Words fail me to offer you support and comfort in these circumstance but praying you will come true this part of your life stronger. Your nation and family ought to feel pride that you stood up for what is good and right and blew that wisal.

God bless you and America and I too keep you in my prayers and those who are scared of the truth and remember my young friend freedom is in the mind psyche.

  61. Bradley, I read about you (thanks to Courage To Resist, ponder as I look at your picture; think of my six grandsons, five grandaughters your age.. and then give great thanks that you are a person of courage and love, as are my children and grandchildren. I love my country, but it will only continue with hope because of men and women like you, willing to expose evil; having no selfish motive; acting out of love for all humanity because it is the right thing to do. My heart aches for what you are enduring and I pray for those in authority to release you. We need you. Thank you.

  62. ohhh my the true AMERICAN Spirit is alive , MEN , true MEN with morals , character ,spirit that speak and act their beliefs MAKES THIS A GREAT FREE WORLD , CASSIUS CLAY “strange fruit ” song (one could not say blacks were being hung on trees in AMERICA then ,they would be killed instantly ) like JFK was !!…Sadly AMERICA is beyond hope …already sold this COUNTRY to CHINA …sad greed won (in our lifetime), in this infant , once a world power Nation!!a total MESS now, we try to call America ….embarrassed are YOU AMERICA ? the Rome statue will indict hotel 26 apachee crew for murder ,in years to come …like Nurenburg trials ..strangely the german people<(not nazi's) did not know either …your spirit endures Bradly for generations not born yet ..in the name of Mankind …sadly not the usa

Thank you for speaking out for those whose voice has been silenced. We are so grateful to you for your courage and bravery. Please, know that. Thank you.

    Bill and Josie (US)

  65. Wow! You are a true hero to humanity. Tyrants and despots have ALWAYS fallen eventually and good people win out because of a few very important people in history, like yourself who do extrordinary deeds and set the ball for change rolling! Good on you!
