Our challenge: Stand with Bradley until the trial is over

Bradley Manning is spending his second birthday locked behind bars. We need to give him every fighting chance, both inside and outside of the courtroom. Help see him set free – pledge a monthly donation for the length of the trial. Click here to make a donation.

December 2, 2011. From the Bradley Manning Support Network

Bradley Manning has spent over a year and a half in prison without a trial. Half of that time in torturous solitary confinement. He stands accused of showing the world the truth about America’s imperialistic role overseas – from American soldiers gunning down Reuters journalists to previously-unknown scores of civilians killed in the Iraq War.

In a democracy, the public has a right and a need to know about its government. Bradley stands accused of telling us the truth about our government – and now he faces life in prison, or even the death penalty.

Our grassroots-driven organization is taking on some of the world’s most powerful and embarrassed government officials. We face tough odds, but we have truth on our side. And, just as important, we have the support of people like you.

Will you stand with Bradley Manning? Commit to making a monthly donation from now till the end of the trial.

The United States government wants to draw this process out for as long as possible, hoping that they can sweep Bradley under the rug or lock him away. But we’re planning on ensuring that Brad’s story is told, that he has every defense possible.

We’re looking for 100 people in the world who can commit to donating $100 or more per month for the duration of the trial. But even if you aren’t able to give a full $100, you can still help support our organization by setting up a regular monthly donation. This will give us the financial stability to create an aggressive defense for Brad, providing him with top-notch legal representation, ensuring he has expert witnesses he needs, informing the public about his case, and speaking out against attempts to bar journalists and the public from his trial.

Your monthly donation will create the foundation our organization needs to keep up our work during Bradley’s trial. By spreading your donation our over the course of a year, you can make a big difference through smaller payments – and give our organization the financial insurance to be most effective.

Help us give Bradley a fighting chance in the upcoming proceedings, inside and out of the military courtroom at Fort Meade, Maryland.

Please donate today.

  1. This money will help Bradley, hopefuly. What about the others or the next person in this situation? The problem is, why and how this is allowed in a democracy?

  3. maybe he shouldnt have went against his government, its a losing battle for him at least, thats called a security breach, im glad hes locked up.

  4. Trish if Josie is support a “fascist regime” then you are calling the entire United States Government that. Which means you have ap roblem with the country. So how about if you live in the country you get the hell out of it if you don’t like it so much. I don’t agree with things the government doesn’t do sometimes either like the fact that since they can’t come to an agreement my wife and I may not have a paycheck but do I call them fascist no. So Josie is being patriotic because she stands by her Government which means she is standing by her country. You on the other hand are not. So how about every one of you get the hell out of the country. Manning knew what he was doing. He was given an order by his superiors to not show that video or paperwork to anyone. If he felt it was unlawful there are channels that he brings it up to without putting it out to the entire world to see. If you don’t like the fact that Civilians die in war then don’t pay attention to the news when it comes on because it happens and it always will.

  5. NOT GOOD ENOUGH !!!

BRADLEY MANNING FOR U.S. SENATE N=O=W!

Let’s get this ball rolling; even the sacrosanct Military CANNOT pass judgement on a U.S. CONGRESSMAN! What’s his home state; let’s start a write-in cammpaign.

    BRADLEY MANNING FOR PRESIDENT even!

  6. Matt, You are exactly what is wrong with this country…. blindly following like sheep! Dare you forget what happened with wall street when no one questioned their behavior, and yes, those in our governmen/politicans were paid to look the other way! So you say we should not question our government no matter what? That is insane! May I remind you we live in a Republic where we not only have a right to question our government but we have a responsibility. While you are so busy telling someone to go to another country if they don’t like our government, let me say it is you who needs to get the flick out and find some neat cozy little facist/Oligarchy where you had better not ever question them. By the way, Bradley Manning is a hero. He is incarcerated only because he hit a nerve with the criminals who are running the show. Why isn’t Karl Rove and that gang of thugs in jail for exposing a CIA agent??? Learn to think outside your little world of followers for a change. A revolution is long over due in this country.
