Update 5/4/12: Report from the Vancouver rally for Bradley!

On April 26th, 2012 peace-loving people and activists gathered in front of the United States Consulate in Vancouver, Canada to demand immediate freedom for Bradley Manning, a soldier of humanity. The participants of the rally came together in an energetic picket line chanting slogans of “Free Free Bradley Manning! Justice for Bradley Manning!”

Speakers at the protest organized by Mobilization Against War & Occupation (MAWO) included veteran of the U.S. Civil Rights Movement David Whittlesey; Gerry Condon, National Co-chair of the Veterans for Peace GI Resistance Working Group who spoke by phone from Washington DC; Noah Fine Coordinator of the Free the Cuban 5 Committee-Vancouver and MAWO Executive Committee member Azza Rojbi. MAWO Co-chair Alison Bodine wrapped up the action by declaring that MAWO will continue to organize peace-loving people in Canada in defense of Bradley Manning until he is free.
